Co-founder of Hawaiian Islands Ministries, Dan has been senior pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Honolulu (FPC) since 1994. Prior to that he was associate pastor with singles at Menlo Park Presbyterian Church and previously served at FPC as associate pastor. Born and raised in Hawai’i, Dan had an early career in television broadcast journalism with the Hawai’i CBS-affliliate KGMB-TV. He holds an MDiv and Dmin from Fuller Seminary, where he serves on the board of trustees. He also holds an MA in cinema production from the University of Southern California. Dan’s book How to Pick a Spouse boldly aims to eradicate divorce by helping people choose wisely. |

Bob Goff is the New York Times Best-Selling Author of Love Does and Everybody Always, as well as an attorney who founded Restore International, a nonprofit human rights organization operating in Uganda, India and Somalia. Bob is a sought after speaker for leadership, church and university events, inspiring current and future influencers to get to the “do” part of life. Choosing to live audaciously, Bob connects to audiences in a powerfully inspirational, yet down to earth manner. 

Bob has pioneered the vision of Restore International to fight for freedom and human rights, working to improve educational opportunities and to be helpful to those in need of a voice and a friend. Restore has worked with Uganda’s judiciary in bringing over 200 cases to trial, as well as pursuing justice, intervention and education for at risk women and children in Uganda, India and Somalia. Restore Leadership Academy in Northern Uganda educates over 300 students with a focus on character and leadership development. Because of Bob’s vision and the work of Restore International, he serves as the Hon. Consul for the Republic of Uganda to the United States.

Bob has been a practicing attorney for over 25 years. He is also an adjunct professor at Pepperdine Law School where he teaches Nonprofit Law, and Point Loma Nazarene University, where he teaches Business Law.

Rev. Dr. Mary S. Hulst has served as College Chaplain since 2009. She spent eight years serving as the senior pastor at Eastern Avenue Christian Reformed Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan, before leaving to pursue a PhD in communication ethics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. After earning her degree, Dr. Hulst taught for one year in the Communications Arts and Sciences Department at Calvin College and then for two years at Calvin Theological Seminary as Assistant Professor of Preaching. Now, she preaches weekly on Sunday evenings at the Calvin College LOFT service for students, integrating her love for scripture and her love for college students. Known as “Pastor Mary” on campus, she loves to meet with any student to talk about life, faith, or anything else. When her schedule allows, Dr. Hulst also lectures around the country on preaching, teaches workshops for preachers, and consults with churches and search committees on how to listen to sermons. Her book A Little Handbook for Preachers (IVP Praxis) was released in 2016.

John Ortberg is an author, speaker, and the senior pastor of Menlo Church in the San Francisco Bay Area. His books include, All the Places To Go; Soul Keeping; Who Is This Man?; The Life You’ve Always Wanted; Faith and Doubt; and more.

Born and raised in Rockford, Illinois, John graduated from Wheaton College and holds a Master of Divinity and a PhD in clinical psychology from Fuller Seminary. John is a member of the Board of Trustees at Fuller Seminary, serves on the board for the Dallas Willard Center for Spiritual Formation, and is a former board member of Christianity Today International.

Mike is known for his love of bad jokes, his passion for growing grapevines and his ability to endlessly watch West Wing on repeat. He gave birth to all things Soul Survivor (a charity that aims to equip young people to live their lives for Jesus) and heads up all that goes on at the events and at church, Soul Survivor Watford, as well as travels the world telling people about Jesus.


Tim Ross is the senior pastor of the multi-ethnic, multi-generational Embassy City Church in Irving, TX. He speaks both nationally and internationally strengthening believers with the Good News of Jesus Christ. Tim began preaching at the age of 20 years old and has already impacted the lives of hundreds of thousands of people. His dynamic teaching style and uncanny ability to make people understand the gospel message is the reason why he has been such an asset to ministries across cultural and denominational lines. Tim is happily married to Juliette, his bride since May 1,1999 and they have two sons, Nathan and Noah.

Jon Tyson is a Pastor and Church Planter in New York City. Originally from Adelaide, Australia, Jon moved to the United States twenty years ago with a passion to seek and cultivate renewal in the Western Church. He is the author of Sacred Roots, A Creative Minority and The Burden is Light. Jon lives in the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood of Manhattan with his wife and two children. He serves as the Lead Pastor of Church of the City New York.
